This program is distributed under the Shareware concept. You
are allowed to operate the program for a trial period of
thirty (30) days. After this trial period, you must register
the program or discontinue its use. Again if you do not agree

REGISTRATION
------------
In order to register your copy of imStats you must first run
the program called REGISTER.EXE. This program will help you
to create a text file called REGISTER.FRM. This is your
registration form. Your registration form must be printed
and mailed to Intuitive Vision Software.
You must include your $10 registration fee with your
registration form. Please send either a check or money order.
Please make checks payable to Intuitive Vision Software.

DESCRIPTION
-----------
InterMail Stats will read your InterMail data files. From the information
collected Intermail Stats will create both color ANSI and ASCII text
display files. These display files may be shown to your users during
the log on process, in your bulletins, or from a menu command on your
BBS.
InterMail Stats can also create a daily message in any message base of your
choice (JAM/Squish/*.MSG format) which will show the previous day's
statitics. You may toggle this feature on or off.

CONFIGURATION
-------------
First, place the archived file IMSTAT30.RAR into a directory of your
choice. Next, unRAR IMSTAT30.RAR into that directory.
You must insure that your IM environment variable is set correctly before
running imStats. If you do not have your IM environment variable set, you
should place a line similar to the one below in your AUTOEXEC.BAT:
SET IM=[Path to FD.SYS]
Next, you must configure imStats. An easy to use setup program has been
included. This program is called SETUP.EXE.
From the main menu in SETUP.EXE, select 'Edit Current Config'. You will
be prompted to create the configuration file. Once the configuration file
has been created, you will see the main configuration screen:

BBS Name : This is the name of your BBS, used for the
creation of your display files and report
messages.
BBS Type : When you edit this option, you will be
prompted with a list of the supported BBS
types. If your BBS software is not listed,
select 'UNLISTED'.
Node # for Last Call : This is the Node # that imStats should
process for its 'Last Call' information.
imStats supports nodes 1 through 99 for
this field.
Send Mesage? : This toggle allows you to enable or disable
the statistics message posting. This may
only be disabled if the 'Create File' option
is ENABLED.
Message Base Setup : This option is only available when the 'Send
Message' option is enabled. This will bring
you to the Edit Message Base screen (see
below).
Create File? : This toggle allows you to enable or disable
the ANSI/ASCII file creation by imStats. This
may only be disabled if the 'Send Message'
option is ENABLED.
File Definitions : This option is only available when the 'Create
File' option is enabled. This will bring you
to the Edit Filenames screen (see below).
When you enable the 'Send Message' option, and select 'Message Base Setup',
you will be brought to the Edit Message Base screen:

Message Format : This is the format of the messages base that
imStats will place the statistics message in.
The options are JAM, Squish, and *.MSG.
Message Base : JAM/Squish format: This is the path AND
filename (no extension) to the message base
that you wish the message posted to.
*.MSG format: This is the path to the message
base that you wish the message posted to
(where the *.MSG files reside).
Message Base Type : This is the type of message base that imStats
will be posting to. The options are Local,
Echomail, and Netmail.
Message To : This is the name that imStats will will post
the message to. It is suggested that when
imStats is set to post the message as private
(see below), you set this to your name. When
posting public, you would normally put 'All'.
Private? : Should this message be posted with the private
flag? This option will tell imStats whether
it should be marking the message as private or
not.
Your Address : This is your Fidonet-type address. It should
be in the (zone:net/node[.point]) format.
This address is used as the from address in
echomail messages, and as the from AND to
addresses in netmail messages.
When selecting 'File Definitions' from the main edit screen, you will be
brought to the Edit Filenames screen:

ANSI Filename : This is the full drive:\path\filename.ext of
the ANSI file that will be created by imStats.
ASCII Filename : This is the full drive:\path\filename.ext of
the ASCII file that will be created by
imStats.
RUNNING IMSTATS
---------------
Once you have properly configured imStats, you can run imStats simply by
typing
IMSTATS
There are no commandline parameters necessary.
